The death of a young man named Tagbo, Davido’s friend rocked social media few days ago with Nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma pointing fingers at the musician and his crew.
Caroline Danjuma accused Davido and his crew of dumping Tagbo’s lifeless body at General hospital before fleeing the scene. Davido has however denied the accusation.
Tagbo was not very popular. In fact, most people did not know who Tabgo was till they learnt of his death. The question therefore is WHO WAS TAGBO?
According to his Facebook profile, his full name was Tagbo Umeike and he was a graduate of Lagos State University.
Tagbo died on his birthday October 3rd after a wild night out with his friends.
According to a source who spoke to Pulse on Thursday October 5, 2017 Tagbo and his friends, Davido inclusive were in the club when they decided to play a drinking game.
According to the source, the winner of the drinking contest was going to win a brand new iPhone 8 and a sum of 200,000 Naira. A competition which obviously didn’t end well for Tagbo as he passed out’’.
According to videos that surfaced on the internet which showed Davido, Tagbo and other crew members drinking, the shots on the table was enough to make an average person pass out or die.
Different reports have come up on the amount of shots Tagbo took, while some claiming 50 and others claiming 30. Those amounts of shots if true are enough to kill a person.
Research shows that before tequila shots can kill someone, or make a person pass out, some variables need to be considered such as weight, sex, what you ate before taking the shots, the smells that can be perceived, the environment etc.
All of these variables were obviously not in favour of Tagbo as he passed out after taking the shots.
Tagbo was seen in the video which surfaced online drinking at a bar with someone shouting out that he doesn’t have the body to consume all the alcohol which was in front of him. Unfortunately, he died after a few hours.
New autopsy reports have come out today 9th of October 2017 regarding the cause of Tagbo’s death. It has been revealed that alcohol was a substantial factor in Tagbo’s death.
The result also showed that he had enough alcohol and drugs in this system which can lead to death.
‘’The toxicology test detected alcohol and topiramate, a medication for migraine or epilepsy. His blood- alcohol concentration was higher than the legal limit for a normal human being.
A statement by the coroner’s office said, Alcohol and topiramate are synergistic. When combined, the effect of either or both is enhanced. Topiramate, like alcohol can cause dizziness, impaired memory, impaired concentration, poor coordination, confusion and impaired judgment’’.
It is however obvious that tequila was a major cause of Tagbo’s death.
