My First Love Was Music Not Acting – Nollywood Actor Chris Okagbue Reveals

Award-winning actor and film producer, Chris Okagbue is one who has stolen the hearts of many ladies with his great looks and physique. The actor who won the 2011, Gulder Ultimate Search in an exclusive interview with BroadwayTV revealed that acting wasn’t something he always wanted to do as his first interest was music.

In his words, “Most of my friends are still surprised that I am an actor today because music was my first love.” When asked if he was going to start singing soon he replied that he had no idea for now as acting paid the bills.”

In his career as an actor, Chris has featured in movies like A Wish, Playing Safe, Mixed Feelings, The Deal, Superstar Me, 27, Fast lane, TDMP (The Dance Movie Project), 40 Days, Caged Hearts, Hidden Truth, Colourless, Lotanna alongside Beast Of No Nation star Ama K Abebrese, and the highly acclaimed true life adaptation film about the northern Kaduna crisis in Nigeria, Kada River alongside Ghanaian star actress Fella Makafui.

He has also starred in soaps and series like The Station, The Maze, Secrets and Scandals, Dowry, The Calabash, The Condo, Kala and Jamal, Africa’s most watched soap opera Mnet’s Tinsel where he plays the strong-headed Emil Haruna, and also Mnet hit series Hush where he played the character Oz.

As a film producer, Chris is the associate producer of the film Lotanna, produced by celebrity stylist and publicist Ifan Ifeanyi Michael.
