Facebook Owner, Mark Zuckerberg Donates $1million To Help Earthquake Victims In Mexico

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook speaks about donating $1 million to Mexico to help reconstruct areas that were ruined by an earthquake this week.

On Tuesday 19th of September,  7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Central Mexico on Tuesday with more than 200 people have been confirmed dead so far.

To add to it it, Mark announces his gift to a part of the International Red Cross, Cruz Roja Mexicana. He says he will be joining the United Nations Children’s Fund to provide fees on donations made on UNICEF’s facebook page.

Mark said in his statemate:

‘My thoughts are with everyone affected by the earthquake in Mexico.
Facebook is contributing $1 million to Cruz Roja Mexicana Sede Nacional to support the relief efforts on the ground. We’re also partnering with UNICEF to waive fees on all donations to their organization made through our tools that will go to recover efforts in Mexico.
