Nigeria’s culture is rich and beautiful. It consist of arts such as; ivory carving, grass weaving, wood carving, cloth weaving and many mnore. Among all these forms of art, Adire is common among the people of Egba land in Ogun State.

Adire is an indigo dyed cloth produced by Yoruba women of south western Nigeria using a variety of dye techniques. Adire translates as tie and dye. Adire is a unique and beautiful art on fabric.

Adire textile production is assumed to be inborn; inherited by birth and the heritage passed on to descendants of families who were also involved in the production process.
